Zonke, Lady Zamar, Mafikizolo and Sho Majozi have all been added to the list of tribute To Women concert. This will take place on the 9th of August 2018 at the Johannesburg Botanical Gardens and Emmarentia Dam in Gauteng. This is planned to be an annual celebration of women’s month, which is organized by Sheer Entertainment and Breakout Management and it is also supposed to be a female-only lineup event.
Festival director Joe Chakela says: “I have been producing the Divas event at Macufe for many years and I have seen it grow into a prime event. The obvious next step was to provide a regular platform with which to celebrate and showcase the talent at a concert in Johannesburg where I live. I could not think of a more central and scenically beautiful space than the Emmarentia Botanical Gardens for an afternoon out with the family or friends with a picnic basket enjoying our diverse lineup.”
The show encourages a picnic blanket and basket feel and attendees will be able to bring their own food and non-alcoholic soft bottled beverages into the event. For those who would prefer to purchase food and beverages on arrival, there will be a wide variety of gourmet and local food vendors available, as well as fully stocked bars. So you only have a week to get yourself together and make sure you are part of this incredible festival on the 9th. You definitely don’t want to miss this ‘diverse’ lineup.
