Zambian-South African artist, Chipego, recently landed a spot on Spotify’s coveted New Music Friday playlist last week with her vibrant new single, All Yours — a genre-fluid Afro-pop love letter to the present moment. All Yours marks the first release from One Groove’s upcoming collaboration album, co-created by artists from across Africa and Europe during the inaugural AmaGroove Residency in partnership with the Riky Rick Foundation, AUTOR, Nirox Foundation, Koda Kultur, the Danish Foreign and Cultural Ministries respectively. Chipego explains: “The song was originally called ‘Ready’ because at the end of the chorus, I sang in Bemba - my native language. I’m essentially saying, ‘We’re ready now’. It’s a playful way of telling the people I love that we don’t have to wait until tomorrow for the perfect moment. We can realise our wildest dreams today, right now. Calling it ‘All Yours’ is just another way of saying the same thing, like a letter to a lover saying: ‘I’ll be all yours today.’” This track also kicks off One Groove’s bold move toward a fairer, artist-led music world—where global collabs take center stage without sacrificing creative freedom.
