With no initial interest in becoming a DJ, Ntombezinhle Jiyane, popularly known as DJ Zinhle, grew fond of the art through her brother’s passion for mixing vinyl. She would eventually get her first opportunity to popularity when becoming a resident DJ on the TV show Jika Majika. Her fame later grew, as she took on headlining performances at the Sisters with Soul concert and Zimfest 2019. In 2019 she also released her hit song “Umlilo” which got 5.1 million streams in three months, reaching platinum status locally as well as being nominated for Song of the Year in 2019.
