Simphiwe Nhlangulela, better known as Simmy, is known for her neo-soul singing and songwriting. Releasing her debut album “Ogaju” in 2008, she began her career, gaining popularity after releasing “Tugela Fairy” in 2018. The release of this album followed the start of her professional music career when she was signed to El World Music in 2017. In 2019, the 25th South African Music Awards saw Simmy nominated her for “Newcomer of the Year”, “Best Afro Pop Album” and “Record of the Year” (Sun-El Musician ft. Simmy and Lelo Kamau - -Sonini)
